Undergraduate scholarships and bursaries
The following scholarships are available for new students starting in academic year 2022/23 via competitive application.
Scholarships are awarded based on a combination of merit and need.

|Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship||Aimed at students who reflect a commitment to the University values.||Up to £27,750 over three years, as a cash award or tuition fee waiver.|
|Dean Scholarship||Aimed at students who demonstrate both academic excellence, financial need and a commitment to the University values.||Up to £13,500 over three years, as a cash award or tuition fee waiver.|
|Sports Scholarship||Aimed at talent athletes towards fulfilling their potential as a student athlete.||Up to £6,000 per year of study.|
|ELSEF Scholarships||Aimed at students progressing to UEL directly from an ELSEF member college.||Up to £1,000 in the first year only.|
|UTC Scholarships||Aimed at students progressing to UEL directly from LDE UTC.||Up to £1,500 in the first year only.|
|Helena Kennedy Foundation||Aimed at supporting disadvantaged students who have overcome significant barriers to continue with Higher Education.||£2,250 over duration of course.|
The following bursaries are available for new undergraduate students starting in the academic year 2022/23 via an application.

|Hardship Bursary||Aimed at students from low-income households facing unforeseen financial difficulties.||Up to £3,000.|
|Young Independent Student Bursary||Aimed at students who previously lived in care or a foyer or/and whom are estranged from their parents.||Up to £1,500 per year of study.|
|Engagement Bursary||Aimed to supporting students financially to remain in higher education (childcare, travel and DSA).||Up to £3,000.|
|Progression Bursary||Aimed at supporting student employability, targeting low-income students accessing course costs, graduate interview costs, and reasonable adjustment costs for students with disabilities.||Up to £3,000.|
|Short Course Bursary||Aimed at supporting students from low-income households undertaking UEL pre-entry short courses.||Up to £200.|
