I joined UEL in September 2021 as a Senior Lecturer in Civil Engineering. Prior to this I was in the University of Leeds where I worked as a Lecturer for 3 years.
CURRENT RESEARCH
My main area of research: cement and concrete science with a key emphasis on the use of nanotechnology to characterise and improve their physical and durability properties. In particular, studying the mechanisms of concrete deterioration at nanoscale level and relate this to the micro and macro level for engineering applications.
