Florentia is a lecturer in psychobiology and addiction. Florentia's research interests include the cognitive and psychobiological effects of recreational drug use such as alcohol, cannabis, MDMA and cocaine.
OVERVIEW
Dr Florentia Hadjiefthyvoulou completed her PhD at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) looking at the effect of ecstasy/polydrug use on Prospective memory and Executive Functioning. She has since worked as a Lecturer in Psychology teaching a range of psychology modules including addiction at Nottingham Trent University for five years before moving to UEL in August 2016.
CURRENT RESEARCH
Florentia's research interests are concerned with the impact of recreational drug use on different aspects of cognition and memory. Florentia is particularly interested on the impact of recreational drug use on different aspects of Prospective Memory and her current research is concerned with understanding the biological underpinning of successful Prospective memory performance.
