Dan Duran is the Course subject area leader of Visual Arts and the Course Leader of BA Graphic Design. Dan is a Film Maker and Design Thinker. His practice covers a wide area of interest from visual communication to film production.

OVERVIEW
Dan Duran is a Film Maker and Design Thinker. His practice covers a wide area of interest from visual communication to film production. His specialism is in digital techniques, having worked for 10 years in the fast-moving world of the film and advertising industries. Work in these areas centred around editing, compositing, colour correction, motion graphics and creating title sequences. He held senior positions at the Moving Picture Company in London's Soho.
Working with some of the biggest advertising agencies and film companies. For directors, such as Dawn Shadforth; Kylie Minogue 'Chocolate' and Primal Scream 'Some Velvet Morning'. Chris Cunningham; Madonna's "Frozen". Feature Film work such as on the Harry Potter and James Bond franchise. Tim Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Many of his film credits can be seen on IMDB.
As an educator Dan has spent nearly 10 years working across art and design in the higher education sector. He has lectured at institutions such as the Royal Academy of Arts schools, Camberwell College of Arts, Chelsea College of Arts at BA and MA levels.

Dan has over 10 years industry experience, then spent the last 10 years teaching in various London Art Schools (Camberwell College of Arts, Chelsea College of Art and Design) before taking his current post at University of East London.
